Please verify IF u are logged on before posting !

Today, after typing a long post,
I got u are not logged on !
and all my typing was wasted -
I wonder why it did not issued the "not logged on" message, before I start typing

Perhpas an auto-logoff if one delays more than 10 minutes typing ?

Yeah right, it's a little problem of time I think.
I got this twice during some of my last posts.
If it's taking too long to write your post (don't know exactly how long, maybe 10 to 15 min.) the server seems to log you automatically out.
My solution to save the post (and time to write it again) is:
1. copy it to the clipboard before posting or
2. first write it on the notepad and then copy it to the freshly open post.
This is highly recommended if you are trying to write a bigger post.

I wonder why that automatic logoff was implemented
without any warning to us, in first place -

the post need not be loong , only expending time
searching other sites, to provide some more information to your post is enough.

I don't cronometric measured that time too !
but sure, that time inddeed is too small for regular use

I will have to copy every post to notepad, before pressing the post buttom -

Don't know how much you know about computers, servers and internet, but this automatic logoff is a standard security measure which you can find everywhere.
In fact of this you must calculate with it if you're surfing through the internet (especially if you're shopping, online-banking etc.). Therefore other forums of other projects will react the same.
I'm no security expert either (maybe Willy can told you more about this), but I know, that the chance for hijacking any account is higher, if someone's logged in, but does nothing. To prevent thirdparties to spy you out the servers will cut the connection at a given time (standard maybe 10 minutes, correct me if I'm wrong, Willy ).

BTW: It take too long to write this, because I was doing many other things at the same time and so it happened again

Just use the stay logged in option and there will be no problems

In fact I remains logged on BAM form a day to other !

This option is just to BAM ?

When I get time I will format my HD to erase all cookies.

After some time,
I will be able to say IF this action solved that cookie problem ? -or- not

You don't have to be as drastic to delete cookies, you can delete them through the options on your browser, or through 3rd party programs
