It's been a while since I asked last time and I can't find the old Thread anymore...

Problem :
Obsolete Hosts (CPU, OS) from Projects that I don't participate anymore are displayed instead of the current Hosts active in several other Projects, Credits by the Host ID's remain correct though.

Is there any update on Ideas how to fix that ?

As it is now, my Hosts Listing ( Link ) is basically not usable since approx. 1 year, i.e. still displaying long replaced AthlonXP's instead of the Dual Core CPUs that are in place. I reckon those come from ClimatePrediction in my case, which seem to remain used instead of the up-to-date Malaria/EAH/LHC Hosts lists.

Greetings

I guess these are upgraded systems where the NOINC directory is re-used from the previous configuration?

Yes, I'm saving the BOINC Directory from (almost *) all Installations.

* only a few Systems had bad HD crashes, rendering their BOINC Directory non-recoverable

Well, there's your problem. This way the host-id/cpid doesn't change, and the host keeps it link with the projects that are no longer being crunched.

These projects however still retain the old host information and put that in the XML file.

Like the other topics about the correct country/team membership/user name it is not possible to only get this info from a limited set of projects. Especially for the host update this would slow down the update immensely.

Hm, so I take it is an uncorrectable Problem, in my case caused by ClimatePrediction not allowing to delete these obsolete Hosts (I think that would fix it).

I'll have to wait until ClimatePrediction allows for deletion of Hosts one day then :/

Ha, looks like I fixed it myself !

I re-enabled SETI, where I previously had all Hosts deleted.

With a new Host listings now coming up at SETI, BOINCstats now got it all right (my obsolete Hosts from CPDN apparently got pushed back in the listing order and are now superseeded by at least one Project with current Hosts )

That might do the Trick for others as well, if they encounter similar Problems.
