Another poorly planned challenge, now we have to choose from three...

it is annoying when people post challenges without consideration for challenges already posted. POGS challenge was posted a few weeks ago and yet another two posted at exactly the same time.

Let me try to be little objectvie here. There is around 100000 teams here. Lets say 1000 are active. Is than 3 challenges too many? Some teams might want to support different project. Give them something to choose from.

I'd rather have a challenge that starts on February 8 following the POGS challenge. Now there is a week of nothing when these three challenges end.

A week of nothing??? Regarding team challenges I think there should be a gap of at least 7 days between challenge end of the finished and challenge start of the upcoming challenge (dependant of the upcoming project's deadlines).But concurrently running challenges are indeed annoying.

hmmm I think having 3 challenges just adds another form of a challenge. how does a team manage 3 challenges and do well in all of them.

Waiting 7 days between challenges does no good for projects. It is merely a bunkering opportunity. That is something that is highly debated on even being "in the spirit" of challenges. As far as multiple challenges, the more the merrier. You don't have to win them all. Give people variety and they will stick around longer. POGS also has many challenges at their main site, so no need complaining about this one here. Quite honestly I feel they have too many.

They -the SkyNet POGS- may have the same arguments against you that you have against the Anguillian Pirates: "As far as multiple challenges, the more the merrier. You don't have to win them all"

I'm sure they do feel that way Dirk as it would make them feel more relevant. It would also keep them active so people don't feel things stagnate as quick. That is good for them. As for crunchers looking at all the projects, it makes those challenges less important and slightly meaningless. Too each their own. I think the project is a good one. But a weekly/monthly challenge every week/month to me is no different than just looking at the top producers each month for RAC and over all points. My feelings and opinions. And those have nothing to do with winning them all. Just interest in the challenge at all.
