With reference to:

which is just the latest in an apparently endless series and so quoted merely as an example.

Can anyone - please! - explain HOW this situation can occur and be valid? Obviously, such a system cannot ever have processed so many units in a single day and a little calculation shows that there are unlikely to have been enough days since BOINC started for such a total to have been amassed, at the sort of average daily credit likely to be achievable with such a system.

Apologies if this question has already been asked - and answered elsewhere in the forums. I did do a search, but found nothing (though I will admit, it was difficult to know what best to enter as search keywords in this case!) Anyway, thanks to anyone who can provide the answer.
