I've had a good look around here and a few people are saying about lost credits. Yesterday mine was minus 700k ish and today 600k ish. I dont really understand why or how to fix it. The other posts i've seen talk about email change etc. As far as I know nothing has changed.

Can anyone please help or explain this to me.

Thanks

If it's only affecting one host, probably that host has received a new host-CPID (as opposed to an account-CPID). That happens with some versions of the BOINC client when the network address changes (laptop).

There's nothing you can do here at BOINCstats, since here only the exported stats are sampled.

You could check at each project, though, if the host has been assigned a new hostID. If so, try merging the two IDs (at every project). Perhaps then the host statistics are joined again.

I think I've found something. milkyway@home and Einstein@Home have different computer id's for that system. I cant check most of the others as they seem to be offline etc at the moment to log in. If this is the cause how do I fix it?

ID 2 and 7 are the same system but show the below. I've been using this for a while but just left it to its own, Only recent I have started looking at it more so am not that sure how it wall works.

That host has a "classical" split CPID:
(2) Host ID "16761085" (b960e70130dd823ee9cb62e6f3a508fc)
Climate Prediction
Einstein@Home
MilkyWay@home
Rosetta@Home
SETI@Home

(7) Host ID "10517311" (6d9a10205c8b1e8644ca73f539aaf9fc)
Hydrogen@Home
LHC@Home

Obviously, it has been assigned a new host-CPID at one of its projects. The active projects have synchronised with that, but the inactive ones (Hydrogen, LHC) didn't (for obvious reasons).

Hydrogen is not retired but seemingly doesn't communicate with your host. If/when they come online again, that problem will resolve itself, but LHC is retired and I don't think BOINCstat's "Sync retired projects" feature works for host-CPIDs (but I'm not sure either). So, that host will probably retain its split ID forever.

Thanks again. So I should remove lhc and possabley hydrogen. Will that sort out the minus numbers I get? Are these minus numbers effecting my normal stats? I'm not sure how to tell

Thanks

Me neither, sorry. I never had that problem, so I can't tell from experience, but I would say it wouldn't do to remove them, since the statistical data are there anyway.

Actually, I don't see your problem. Okay, you have two entries for one host, but the sum of your credits should be correct, all in all (the credits subtracted from one "incarnation" of the host have been added to the other one).

Gundolf

I noticed a few days after your last post that the numbers went into the + agian so I thought it had sorted it self out but for the past few days I have had no info for that host just stayed at 0. I have checked and it has been working hard are has compleated quite a number of tasks so again im confused. I may get my head round how this works one day
