Hi guys,

I've read the FAQ and tried everything it suggested, all the emails on my projects and usernames are exactly the same but they're still not lining up! I had a couple of days where all my projects had the same CPID but they were all in the split CPID and not the one that's associated with my BAM account. I've tried renewing my CPID and I've been waiting two weeks for the system to juggle around the accounts and try to determine which CPID to align with. Is there anything I can do to speed up this process or should I just keep waiting?

Thanks,
Frustrated.

From a quick look at your stats, it would appear that Einstein is the only project that's not behaving properly--is that consistent with what you're experiencing?

Do you have all of your projects attached to at least one client through BAM? That might get the projects to line up your CPID. Remember, CPID comes from the projects and the BOINC client, not BAM. BAM just tries to help things along and organize your project information a little better.

Currently Einstein is attached to my main account while the rest are not, it juggles though, a couple of days ago, none were attached to my main, and before that, einstein and cosmo were attached... it's just weird. My home computer has all projects attached but I'm not processing WUs for all of them at the moment. Should I be trying to churn out at least one WU per project to somehow force a synch?

Thanks for the reply

*edit* I just checked my CPID across all projects including Einstein, seems like they're all lined up with my splinter CPID... I guess that means on the next update tomorrow, they'll all line up (they've actually done this once before last week, I just had no projects linked to my main... but then it started fragmenting again! How can I get my main CPID to change to the splinter one? I've tried renewing but that doesn't seem to do anything).

*edit2* arghhhh, I checked my CPID certificate and it credits ALL of my credits across ALL projects and it lists ALL of my projects, so my CPIDs are synched! but BAM still has hold of my old CPID. erg....

So after the update today, as expected, all my projects have lined up with one CPID, my splinter one: c48715b2cfad796853c0b94bcdb666d4

Meanwhile, my BAM account has no projects associated with it... c48715b2cfad796853c0b94bcdb666d4

If you do a search for my username, only the first CPID shows up, there's no profile associated with it... I clicked on renew CPID in my main account page and it says that it will clear my CPID and will take some time... but after I click it, the CPID remains the same. How long is "some time"? And what else can I do?

Thanks,

Which hosts are shown in the Host list from "My BAM menu" to the left and are that all your hosts?

What is the date they "Last contacted BAM" on that page? Do the "Detailed stats" () from each host show all your projects?

Are all your projects shown in the Project list from "My BAM menu"?

It can take a couple of days for all the projects to communicate with BAM, and your clients.

@Gundolf

I have two hosts that are attached to all projects but other hosts that only run a few projects. All my projects ARE shown in the project list and ALL hosts are shown in the host list.

And the "Last contacted BAM" dates on the Host list page are up to date?

Yes they're quite accurate. Not all my hosts are currently processing WUs some of them haven't contacted BAM in a while, but they do show the correct date and times of when they've last been in contact.

Sorry, then I'm out of ideas.

Perhaps Willy or someone else in the knowing could explain how that synchronising between BOINCstats and BAM! accounts is supposed to work (other than referring to the FAQ ).

Aren't Boincstats and BAM the same thing or am I misunderstanding that.

Did you mean synchronizing between the projects and BAM/Boincstats?

Sorry for the double post...

I think the fact that I have some hosts not running all the projects has something to do with this issue. I have 3 hosts at my workplace that run only Einstein, Milkyway and Cosmology. After today's BAM update, Einstein and Milkway splintered again and was reassigned to my old CPID, this happened a couple of times before. I'm going to detach those hosts for the next week and tell them to stop running projects and only leave my 1 home host that is running all the projects. Then hopefully by the end of next week, this issue will be resolved and I will reattach those hosts manually.

I'll keep you posted on any changes.

Thanks,

Nope, I meant what I said (wrote ).

As far as I know (which isn't very far ), the BOINCStats accounts are created automatically for each user imported from the projects. The BAM! accounts are created by those users that want to use the account manager and/or want to use the forum not only as guests.

I had a couple of days where none of my hosts were attached except for my main one. CPID got renewed, everything lined up, I booted up my other hosts, no problems yet!

I guess this is something to note for the future then. In case of any CPID splits, it'd be good to make sure that all hosts that are running have all projects attached, otherwise it may keep forcing the projects to report itself and not align with other projects.
