I just signed in/registered. Been with BOINC for a long time.

Attempting to view my statistics, per the BOINCstats BAM ID 78763 <- as shown on my Main Account page, shows someone else's statistics.

Using http://www.boincstats.com/signature/user_78763.gif as the FAQ suggests, shows user: Mercury_Seven in Germany, who (as I moused-over some items on his page here - shows he has the same BAM ID of 78763 as me.

We have totally different UserNames - mine is MNSwiftOne - I do not understand why or how we got the same BAM ID.

I did click Update CPID and yes - it DOES show my correct CPID for Seti and other projects - Only my BAM ID needs to be changed.

My Seti@Home stats page at http://setiathome.berkeley.edu even shows URL http://www.boincstats.com/signature/user_78763.gif
- was this updated by BAM? In any case - This shows Mercury_Seven's statistics - Not mine.

Any ideas?

I bet you didn't try to search the forum for an explanation...

The way you use the signature, you are using the BOINCstats id, which is not the same as a BAM! id.

Your signature is:

Thanks Willy -

Yes, I did try searching - but searching for 'BOINCstats ID' resulted in only a post titled " My detailed stats say that "User CPID doesn't exist" " - which was about CPID - not BOINCstats ID.

The FAQ instructions are not very explicit - I had no clue on how to find the 'BOINC detailed statistics page':
"The numbers are replaced with your own BOINCstats ID number. You can find this number on your BOINC detailed statistics page."

Considering the title, 'BOINCstats ID' - the word 'BOINCstats' to me implied I should be able to find this on this site somewhere.

Finally, I clicked 'BOINCstats' under 'Cross-project statistics' on the Seti@home Account page and found my URL already correctly laid-out on this page on your site: http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_user_graph.php...

I swear I clicked everything I could find on this site and cannot find this page linked off your site... only from Seti could I find this page - probably obvious? - I just don't see it... a link to this page would be a good addition to the FAQ - or much better directions to find it.

Maybe add some text stating 'A link to the BOINCstats Detailed statistics page should be found listed on most project Account pages under 'Statistics' - log in to one of your projects to find it.' or such... this would definitely help.

Thanks again for your help!!!
With the tags from the BBCode page - I am a lot happier now

You'll have to expand My BAM menu. Then you can see the link to "My detailed stats" (among other useful links )
