my CPID is missing. I tried to "renew" it already, no success. The message displayed is:

* Invalid email address
* Incorrect telephone number

but i would like to renew my CPID only instead of changing my pw and email. (both are working fine for every project)
All computers continue using BAM! and the stats for my CPID work fine: Apo's stats

I'm just not able to enter my CPID and therefore not able to see "my detailed stats"

I had the same Problem like apo.
You fixed it. Ok.
But...
I klicked "renew" and waited for 48 hours.
Nothing happens. I already don't have a CPID.

I read that changes to the update scripts now use our Username. I have the same username on the two projects I work on but after a week of waiting after a renewal (or more?) I still have no CPID.

Is this a normal amount of time or is there something broken?

Did you try to renew the CPID today. The feature was just fixed this weekend.

No I did not.

I just now renewed my CPID and it was instantaneous. All stats and links to stats are available.

Thank you too. It seems this problem is finaly resolved.

I'm a new member. I don't know if I even HAD a CPID, but I know I don't have one now.

I've tried "renewing" my CPID every day for 3 days, but still nothing.

No CPID, and no "My detailed stats" link. My friend, who has a lot of experience with BOINCstats and BAM can't figure out what's wrong... so don't write me off as a noob who is clueless!

CPIDs come from the projects, BOINCstats only reads and processes the data delivered by them, including the CPID. You can do as much as you want here, it won't change anything, you have to adjust the project accounts themself.

I may be a noob, but that still sounds really dumb.

Anyway, thanks to Willy who fixed the problem. My CPID is now intact and the "My detailed stats" link is back.

The CPID is generated at the projects from email and something else. It's propagated from project to project via server contacts between your puters and the projects. That's the setup of BOINC nothing to do about for Willy.

The only things in existing accounts, that can be changed via BAM! are the preferences, not the core account data. A new account can be created through BAM!, but even there no further change is possible from here.No profile, no country, no URL, and of course not sensitive data like email and password.

Imho that's quite fine. You don't change your email addresses like underwear, and if it happens once in several years, you have to go to all projects once, so what?

Only for finished projects, where you can't change anything any more Willy has implemented a kind of virtual CPID-generation. The CPID is of course only changed here in the DB, and once the project comes back alive, you'll get the old one again and have to wait for it to adjust.

You are quite mistaken. Any of the items you name can be set by BAM!, even after the account is created or when it is not created by BAM! at all.

I've go one for you. I have my CPID on the main account page, but when i go to My detailed stats page i get nothing. It says that i dont have a CPID or i dont have any credits. Well the main page shos it and if you search for me my stats show up. I have a little over 5k credits on this account. I also run another account that is working fine. Any idea what's up?
