My daily credit for the last 2 days is showing as negative. Why would this be?

So how long does it take for things to sort themself out. Its been 6 days now and I am still getting odd results in the 'My detailed stats' page.

If I click on host list and then click on my username I get my correct stats. It's just wrong when is use the 'My detailed stats'.

Hello,

Same problem checked, same question as Martyncarr. No clear response to deal with.
I read the FAQ about CPID splitting, I don't get the point compared with negative credits...
I read other posts about negative credits, question remains.

If it takes time for XML-stats to be "digested" (normal), what we see on our detailed project stats by host have already been computed, haven't they? So, if ALL those detailed stats show positive credits for ALL projets for ONE host, how could it be computed as a negative credit sum for this host?

Even if there was a little drift in the treatment between different XML-stats from different projects, if ALL projects are daily positive for total credit and growing constantly, it could not lead to a negative sum... The total sum for the host wouldn't be correct for a day or two and it could show a break in progression for that day for that host, I'm agree, but the total sum wouldn't be negative!!!

If it was (as explained) a credit adjustment cause by a particular project itself, I could understand that a massive credit correction (negative) from one project cause a negative sum compared with all others positive credits. But in my specific case, since ALL the projects show a positive credit, a constant progression, how could the sum be negative?

Best regards, no angry, no hate, just questions!!!!

Same here. I lost in the middle 4k credits on each of my 3 hosts in BAM! past oktober, 10th and all my projects have positiv credits & no CPID splitting. Strange for me is that my overall world-rank going higher while my host stats are sinking.

Hello,

Another great day in the wonderful land of stats where I get a global total negative credit, while all projects have a positive or zero progression...

Last time, it was located on some few hosts, this time it's on the global sum for all hosts and all projects ("my detailled stats" menu).

There's a lot of posts in the forum from people loosing credits for a day or from a project. As previously said: I completely understand the fact that some not responding project servers may induce a wrong sum for a day or two. I'm still not able to figure why that could lead to a negative sum...

Day 1: P1 = 0; P2 = 10; P3 = 0; P4 = 20 => sum = 30 positive credits.
Day 2: P1 = 10; P2 no response = ? ; P3 = 0; P4 = 15 => sum = -6000 negative credits because P2 gives no response!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is not compute with: if no response from project P then credits = 0 for project P??????

OK. Anyway, I don't care... Don't worry, I really think that the essentiel is that computers continue to crunch work units. And that something good for mankind will raise from this.

you might check the computers on each project and try merging hosts that are the same.

I seem to be having the same problem.
Yesterday several of my projects disappeared from my list giving me a minus daily total of about 1800 credits. Today all but three projects disappeared giving me a minus 141000 daily total. What is going on?

What you do today you will have to live with tonight.

Hi Robert

What's happened is that you now have 2 CPIDs and therefore 2 accounts. Type your name into the search box on the left and you'll find yourself/ves. Here's identity #1

http://boincstats.com/search/all_projects.php?cpid=ee017693b58897e058149e582e19fade

and #2

http://boincstats.com/search/all_projects.php?cpid=35a187b9b7f23b9c7e6f62972d66d45c

You need to

1 Go to your account on every project you're attached to and make sure they all have exactly the same email address. You may need to change the address on some projects. It also helps if you have the same username everywhere.

2 Have a look at your computer list on each project and see whether the same computer's listed more than once. If this is the case, go to one of the detailed records and and select Merge this computer at the bottom of the page. Select the Merge option in preference to Delete this computer.

3 If you have more than one computer running boinc projects, make sure that you're attached to at least one particular project on each computer.

4 Update each project on each computer. This will allow the servers to update your CPIDs and start sorting your records out. Repeat this the following day.

5 Wait another day or two and see whether you now have a single account with all your credits.

6 Post back to let us know whether that worked.

You forgot to point out that all email addresses should be in all lower case letters.

I didn't know the rule about lower-case letters for email addresses so thanks for that.
