In short: Y E S !

long:
You can NOT enter your CPID.
The Cross Project ID is calculated from your email address and a "random" part.
In most cases if you have the same email address in all your projects then they should all have the same CPID.

If not you can try to go to:

My BAM menu -> Main account page -> edit account -> renew (CPID) this will recalculate the CPID but usually this last step should not be necessary.

I just changed my email address on my projects and the CPID slowly changed. If the change was done through BAM all projects that could be reached did change automatically. However a few were down so I had to go to each of their pages later and update my email later.
So all projects aligned to the new CPID in anything from a few hours to a few days.

While this is happening you are loosing credits from your old CPID so your RAC stat is negative and this is correct
if you search for your account and you look up the new id you will see a RAC that just as positive as the other is negative since the credit is moving there.

However you are loosing the date for most of the diagrams since that history that BAM associated with your old CPID. Only the BS-RAC is transferred to the new CPID as are your credits.

A problem is projects who are down possibly for ever like Proteins@Home, since the project page is not up you can not update your email address and therefore your CPID does not change and will not align.

I hope that once the project is officially retired I can sync it as a retired project and get that credit to my new CPID. Till then I only see it on the old CPID.

One last thing. The user name is not used to identify you. So it does not really matter. Only your email address is really important.

I hope that helps a bit

True, email address is all that matters but it would be nice to have your name match. Look at my avatar then look at my sig. Long story. . .

Ah right I forgot.
If the user name does not match BOINCstat may combine them to something like

name1@Einstein-name2@seti...

So you get a long ugly name.

So its still better to have the same user name on all projects as well even though it is not use as an identifier.

Does your account have the same email as all your projects?
Does your projects have the same CPID?
attach to all projects with the same computer or use a common project on all computers to get the same CPID.

Your DJ Wolf stats are here:
http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_user_graph.php?pr=bo&id=1286001

and the new account now has a CPID.

Something must be different on your DJ Wolf account from your projects. the most common problem is the email.

Sorry I haven't set up skype yet.
