We are running 3 BOINC projects on 5 PCs, but only 3 of the PCs seem to be active in BAM.
When we look at the listing of Hosts on the "Project List" or "Project Resources" the same 3 PCs appear. When we open the "Host List" the same 3 PCs appear, but when we click on "show all hosts" all 5 PCs appear.

All 5 PCs are completing tasks on all 3 projects. How can we get the 2 missing PCs properly registered in BAM?

Were they detached from BAM in the BOINC manager? What you describe sounds like the behavior from a host that is no longer being controlled by BAM. In the host list, there is a "last contacted" time/date that may give you clues as to the cause...

You are correct. The host list shows last contact was 25, 27 or 28 November (over a month ago), depending on the host. I had been running BOINC on 3 PCs, but around that time I added two more PCs. I thought I used the BAM setup, but may have made a mistake.

For several weeks I've been seeing the following message sequence when I click on "Tools >Synchronize with BOINCstats BAM" in BOINC Manager but haven't had time to investigate.

1/1/2011 7:18:32 PM Fetching configuration file from http://bam.boincstats.com/get_project_config.php
1/1/2011 7:18:36 PM Contacting account manager at http://bam.boincstats.com/
1/1/2011 7:18:37 PM Account manager contact succeeded
1/1/2011 7:18:37 PM [error] No signing key from account manager
1/1/2011 7:18:37 PM [error] Inconsistent signing key from account manager

So, the question is now - How do I fix things so BAM is controlling all 5 PCs? I'm running the same 3 projects (SETI, Rosetta & Einstein) on all PCs.

Any guidance would be most welcomed.
Thanks....

The "Inconsistent signing key" can only be solved by detaching the host from BAM!, then re-attach it. This should not affect the projects or tasks running on the host.

Willy, thanks for the reply.

First, I went to BAM and detached all projects. Then, I went to BOINC Manager on my first host and made the attachment. All responses on the pop-up screen seemed normal and a successful connect to BAM was indicated. I've not done anything with the other 4 hosts yet.

Next, I went to BAM project resources and clicked "Attach All Hosts Now," then I checked the host list for each project. The host list is blank for all projects.

In BOINC Manager the following message sequence appeared when I re-made the attachment.

1/2/2011 4:53:22 PM Fetching configuration file from http://bam.boincstats.com/get_project_config.php
1/2/2011 4:54:03 PM Contacting account manager at http://bam.boincstats.com/
1/2/2011 4:54:04 PM Account manager contact succeeded
1/2/2011 4:54:04 PM [error] No signing key from account manager

I repeated the process, and got the same message result.

Also, now, in BOINC Manager"Tools," the only selection available is "Attach to project or account manager." The other choices (Synchronize... and Stop using BOINCstats...) are not available, like they were before.

Is there supposed to be some time delay between detaching on BAM and then re-executing attachment with the BOINC manager?

What's next, Coach?

Why? You were supposed to detach the affected hosts from BAM!, not all hosts from all projects.

[edit]And you'll have to "Attach to project or account manager" on every host, before BAM! can reattach your hosts to the projects.[/edit]

I have similar problems. And I tried what Alice&Dave did because we know its a BAM/BOINCstats issue not our Hosts.

I have multiple hosts that are under BOINCstats/BAM's wing that are not receiving any credit for several days straight. I have tried different things for several weeks as BOINCStats have dropped my hosts.

I have issued "Attach to project or account manager" command sequence at the BOINC manager to re-initialize my connection.
I have old, current and beta versions of BOINC running
I have different projects, even changing projects
I have monitored my local network to maintain consistent addressing.
I have visitied Project websites (Rosetta, Einstein, Seti) to verify their are collecting credits
__Well Rosetta scheduling is not always giving out work, so there are some holes
I have manually issued a Synchronize with BOINCstats BAM! command with success responses.
I have refreshed my CPID

I need ideas to get rid of "Host doesn't exist in BOINC combined or doesn't have any credit" since I have lots of credit at the projects.

I have "lost" well over 200,000 credits in the past several weeks.

Thanks
Carla

Would you mind creating your own topic? It will be much easier to help you if we can keep your issues separate, so as not to bounce back & forth. The original poster did not lose any credit, they just lost remote control of their hosts through BAM. Any credit-related issues are inherently unrelated to BAM because BAM has nothing to do with any credits.

If you could provide us with more information, such as where you lost the credits from, etc. We can begin to help you.
