Ok not sure how to do this, hoping someone can help.
Got 2 machines I want to run boinc on, want to run 3 projects.

On one of the machines I want to run all 3 projects on the GPU and CPU, so no real issue there.
However on the other machine I only want to use the GPU for Boinc.
Cant see anywhere that I can say on that host only use the GPU?

Also I mainly want to run Seti with some Milkyway @ Home as well so no issue there but I want to run the 3rd project only on the odd occasion where it cant get Seti or Milkyway units, is there a option to set it to only run it when it cant get the other 2?

Last off and this may not be Bam related but is there anyway to get a notification perhaps by email when I client runs out of work and cant find anymore?

Cheers

You'll have to set up a different venue for that host and change the project preferences at each project to not use the CPU. There are four predefined venues: default, home, work and school.

Set the resource share of the "backup" project to zero. However, not all projects have updated their server software to support this feature yet.

Are you hoping to prevent a performance drop while you're using the computer, cooling issue, or...? There are options to scale back the use of CPU in general, or suspend it altogether while the computer is in use or on batteries. Although I am not a GPU user myself, what I've heard is that using your active GPU to crunch can result in some pretty heavy performance issues if you are using the computer. I have been using BOINC with CPUs for years, and the only time I have noticed performance issues is with heat and gaming (haven't seen any framerate issues) and when watching a streamed NetFlix movie... Although I've not been able to reproduce the latter issue on my other machine that I frequently use with NetFlix and BOINC.

Not telling you what to do, just curious as to your reasoning and making sure you have all the info.
