If I do not manually issue a "Synchronize with Account Manager" command from the Boinc Manager, who initiates contact between BAM and my host? Does BAM initiate contact with the BOINC Client, or does the BOINC Client initiate contact with BAM? How often does this happen?

The client initiates contact. Interval is set on the BAM settings page.

When the contact fails the next contact is after 24 hours (hard coded client setting).
