I have been running various BOINC projects on a single host for several years and finally decided to create a BAM account. I was able to attach my existing projects to the account, but I have not figured out how to do much else (yes, I have read the FACs!). In particular:

1. My host list is blank. How do I enter my current host into the list? Does it get done automatically after awhile? (I created the account several days ago, by the way.)

2. The Teams window says that I am a member of any teams, but in reality I am. Do I have to rejoin the teams from BAM for them to show up? If I do that, will lose my current team credits?

3. What are SMS settings, and why do I have to enter my telephone number in my profile page before seeing anything on he SMS settings page?

4. How do you guys get the neat little graphic showing your BOINCstats that I see attached to many of the posts in this Forum? (Not directly BAM related, but just wondering...)

Please remember, there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers!

Did you read the Step by step setup instructions on the BAM! homepage? Namely
Attach the BOINC client to BAM.

2. The Teams window says that I am a member of any teams, but in reality I am. Do I have to rejoin the teams from BAM for them to show up? If I do that, will lose my current team credits?

I don't know much about teams, but your BAM! account still isn't linked to your BOINCStats account. I think, once that's happened, you'll see your team.

Perhaps they are not linked yet because you have no hosts attached. So, attach your computer to BAM! and wait some more days.

3. What are SMS settings, and why do I have to enter my telephone number in my profile page before seeing anything on he SMS settings page?

Did you really read the FAQs? Try this one and the links "Account preferences" and "BOINCstats > Signature" to the left. [edit] It won't work though until your accounts are linked together. You can check that by clicking your user name in the header of your post.[/edit]

I click on the link that is supposed to tell me how to link my projects to my BAM account and it takes me to the "Register" page. Not helpful at all!!!!

Well, duh, that is what I am asking how to do! OK, so I'm dense -- just humor me and tell me how to do it - please!

There is no link concerning projects in my post. Both links work, even when I'm not logged in. If you speak of the "BAM! homepage" link, it's the same as the one in the top right corner of this page. If you scroll down on that page, you'll find the Step by step setup instructions.

When I click on that link, I get the "Register" page -- nothing there about how to connect a BOINC client to a BAM account. Either the link is messed up, or FireFox is doing something really strange...

OK, never mind ... I finally figured out that I have to use the Tools menu in BOINC to connect to BAM manager... so I did, and I'll see what happens over the next couple of days...

I may be slow, but I am persistent!

Okay, I'm using IE6, that could make the difference, but you should be able to access the BAM! homepage at "http://boincstats.com/bam/" or "bam.boincstats.com", which gets redirected to the first one. I get a "Register" link in the top right corner when I'm not logged in, but the page is visible nonetheless.
