I recently tried attaching my hosts to a new BAM account because I anticipate more machines coming. However, when I attached the machines, no projects showed up. Both of my active machines have projects attached, but they weren't added to BAM. First host is running BOINC v6.2.14 on Mac OS X 10.5.5, and the second is running v6.2.15 on Fedora 8. Both show up in the host list, so I know they attached correctly. My email, BAM name, and password are all set to the ones used on the projects, so I don't know what's happening. Any ideas?

BTW, I can also be reached on IRC on the official BOINC channel (#boinc on irc.freenode.net) using the nick MTughan.

You have to tell BAM! that you want your host to attach to specific project. Just attaching to BAM! may not automatically add any projects to your host.

So I should add all the projects I'm currently attached to in BAM? That seems contradictory to the FAQ, which I was going off of.
Do I have to detach my client from all projects to which I'm currently attached before I attach the client to BAM!?

No, you don't have to detach. BAM! will recognize to which projects the client is attached, and will add that information to the host account.

EDIT: Oh, you read my post wrong. Was a little hard to understand... What I meant was that projects that were on my computers didn't show up in BAM's preferences as attached, as I would think it should by that FAQ above.

That function is not always reliable. It is normally best to manually mark which projects a host should be attached to.

All right, that works. Now, how do I attach projects to BAM that I already have accounts on then? Do I just "sign-up" as normal and it'll find my account?

EDIT: And of course, I miss that it can add accounts without signing up. Thanks for everyone's help.

Try the page Sign-up for projects and click Create account or Find account respectively.
