I've been trying to adjust the resource share for one of my projects in BAM. I want them all to be 100 and I have 4 projects, so 25% for each.

However one of the projects still shows as 400, even though I've synchronised several times.

Could this be because at the individual project website it's set different? I don't think it is, but... Also I thought the BAM preferences overrode the individual ones set at each proj website?

Unencumbered by any real knowledge... but from observation...

It depends on the project. CPDN, E@H, WCG do not support letting BAM set their project resource settings. For those projects (maybe others) you have to change it in BAM and go to the project 'my account' webpage, change it in the project preferences. Once both of those are done, Tools>Sync with BAM in boinc manager and you'll be good to go.

If a particular host isn't responding to this it's because that machine was attached later and instead of copying in "-" (use defaults) to that machines project resources it copied in the resource value that was in the defaults at that point in time. This is on my short list of requested BAM changes. To correct this go to that machine in "Host list" and change all the project resource values to "-". It'll then follow your default preferences set for all the other machines.
