Hi,

I have set up in BAM two of the projects I am already attached to and running.

But on two computers, when I have attached to Account Manger, it has detached me from the projects already running and reattached to them as if I had just started running BOINC.

Is this normal and if not could anybody help me understand why does this please? I am running CPDN on other computers and before I set that up and use BAM on them I want to be sure it will not detach me and start that all over again!

Many thanks,
David

You need to choose projects you want to attach to before attaching your host. Go to your resources page and choose default attach on the projects you want to be attached by default.

But just in case make a backup of your BOINC folder with that CPDN workunit

Thanks Rytis for replying,

I had selected the projects I wanted to attach but it still detached. Apologies for not being more precise in my post. I didn't select which projects to join after attaching to Project Manager so it obviously remembered my selections.

Making a backup / copy of the BOINC folder first is a good idea but once detached won't that be recorded on the BOINC computer, thus making resuming the work with the backup folder invalid anyway?

Many thanks
David
