i looked through the faqs and it seems that i can't attach to projects through BAM unless the usernames of my bam account and project accounts are all the same. this seems like a bad design in bam options. what are people supposed to do if the username they have for one project is taken by someone else in another project and they are forced to choose a different user name? and, of course, it's always a good idea to have varying passwords for different accounts for better security.

am i missing something here?

Usernames aren't important. What you need to have the same in all projects and BAM is email address and password.
Anyway in most (if not all?) projects, username doesn't have to be unique, it's just a name to display. Probably WCG is the only exception...

what's interesting is that my e-mail address and passwords are the same for both projects i'm involved with, but with WCG you don't sign in with your e-mail address, you sign in with your username, which is different on both projects...is this the problem?

Search around on the forum, WCG has problems with many things. Do the other projects attach fine?

BAM! communicates with all projects with credentials based on the email address + password except WCG; they use credentials based on the username + password.

very true...i had to change my username to be able to connect with BAM...oh well...no blood spilled!
