Currently I have a probem with LHC@Home that could be related to BAM.

On only 2 computers I run LHC@Home and for both computers LHC@H will generate a Computer-ID each time the client contacts LHC@H (eg get new work or report results). This seems to be a known bug on the server side related to BAM-clients.
See also: http://lhcathome.cern.ch/forum_thread.php?id=2177.

At least one of the computers never ever contacted BAM, so I'm not quit convinced. Still I want to totally abandon BAM (for the time being).
Not only remove my Hosts but also any reference to my mail-adres/userid/ etc..

Can this be done ? And how.

Yes. The things you want to do can easily be done from the BOINC Manager: form the menu Advanced -> Defect from BOINCstats BAM. Hope you'll be back soon

I also want to remove / delete / unsuscribe from BOINCstats BAM - however there is no Advanced menu in the BOINC manager I have - which is version 5.2.13.

Also - there is no Defect command in the BOINC manager.

Please advise the appropriate means to proceed.

Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

Regards,

Doug

If you are not using BOINC Client version 5.4.X and above than you have not used BAM! on that host You are just using the web interface and for now there is no option to delete your account from there

It is now possible to

- deactivate BAM! (but keep the BOINCstats settings) in 'BAM settings'
- delete your account in 'Main account page'
Please do not PM, IM or email me for support (they will go unread/ignored). Use the forum for support.

You can delete your BAM account, but your stats info will persist for time immemorial. This info comes from the projects themselves; some may allow you to delete your account which would also remove your stats, but not many do. The best you can do if you really want this information to "disappear" is to randomize your account name/info so that it's no longer attributed to your identity.

Or, you could just ignore it. Sorry to see another volunteer decide it's not worthwhile.
