Hello, I see there is another thread about this but it's closed now and I can't post there.

Myself and two team mates have noticed that certain hosts are showing 0. The last message from Willy in the other thread says:
"There will be fixes in the next BOINC client. I also improved the method to correctly identify a host." (07/07/12)

So this is a BOINC client issue? Which version corrects this, and has it been released yet?

Thanks for the help.

Here's a picture of the issue

Some of the hosts showing 0 credits have been running for months.

This is a problem for me too... my hosts running the client version 6.10.18 are currently displaying negative credits (but they seemed to be ok yesterday), my hosts on version 7.0.28 have been showing 0 for ages as well. This issue does not seem to impact the otherwise correct data on the other statistics pages. Obviously, the problems mentioned in the other thread are still around.

Update: Every client using version 7.0.28 (Linux and Windows) doesn't show credit in host list. I updated all clients to this version. Since that only the overall credit for my account is shown, not that of each client.

Linking a BAM! host to stats is a real problem. The host CPID changes so often that exported stats almost always have a different CPID than the host is telling to BAM!.

Take for example my own host, id 152687 in SIMAP. The exported stats have CPID "52715199bc8bc4d8fb72ad8194325c3b". The host says it has "ecacf5e3e3c157b7b4f246affde396da" which has to be hashed with my email address resulting in "0f414606eb904c07939ba47c399c6963". That last one is also the CPID shown for my host on the SIMAP site which may make it to the exported stats if it doesn't change again. (NOTE: this isn't a SIMAP issue, this is just an example!).

I proposed the following to the BOINC devs:
I wrote:
I just thought of a solution (which of course will take ages to roll out over all the projects): add an extra field to the host XML export with md5(hostname). This combined with username should give a more consistent way to track a host.

No response yet.

I've put a log on my host to see how often the CPID changes.

But why this did not happen in history?
One of my hosts ran BOINC version 6.10.58 and the host credits were shown correctly - running 34 projects at once.
Every host running version 7.0.28 doesn't show credit in host list.
The only message i get is 'Host ID doesn't exist in BOINC combined or doesn't have any credit.', and that's realy new since I updated my hosts to that version. One of them has only 3 projects running. And even that client does report for one day and the next the same error message is shown again.

I'm having the same issue as of right now; has it really been this long since the issue has been fixed? Two of my computers have been showing 0 for the credits for quite a while, while my new Linux machine went from having a high number to negative numbers. it seems to have messed up the weekly and monthly values in the process.

(I've reinstalled my machines quite a bit; that's why there's several listings for the same hardware)
