Hi,

I´m sorry if this was already posted here, maybe also in some other form, but after the Boincstats website was updated I always have behaviour with my host: it seems to me that the preferences I have set here and linked to my host are not copied to the projects.

Actually I´m not sure if this problem first occured when I updated my client from V6 to V7 or if it was the Boincstats Update. To give you an example, here´s some information from my preferences set here in BAM:

Maximum memory usage while computer is in use: 0 % (no limit, right?)
Run only when CPU usage is less than: No limit

Preference in all attached projects:

Maximum memory usage while computer is in use: 25 %
Run only when CPU usage is less than: 25 % (some projects server version still don´t support this though)

So something is going on here, maybe because of this "venue" thing, or maybe boincstats preferences are handled differently between v6 and v7 clients?

Anyway, below is a copy of the event log of this morning (I have deleted some unnecessary project specific lines though). You can see that the client loads the Boincstats preferences, but after a while loads the preferences set at RNA World (I manually updated those ones for testing). I hope this helps:

I am experiencing this problem also and posted about it here (http://boincstats.com/en/forum/19/7488) because I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not. It's not just version 7 of the client as I am seeing the issue on version 6 also.

The problem is known and solved by David already and is (probably) in the next server software update for BOINC projects.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure who David is (David Baker with Rosetta?) and it doesn't appear to be solved as my clients are still switching back and forth between preferences. Is there something I need to do on my end?

The problem is only solved when a project updates its server code. The problem is that a new security update for Apache (webserver software) imposes some limits which have to be circumvented.

Ah, ok, thank you. Sorry, didn't know about David Anderson. So that would explain why I'm only seeing the problem with two of the projects I'm connected to (Docking and Rosetta). So, until Docking and Rosetta update their server code for BOINC then the problem will keep happening.

I'm going to change my default preferences on both Docking and Rosetta directly to my most restrictive settings so at least my clients won't start crunching while people are using the computer.
