Hi all,

I have had my BOINC attached to a project, but now decided to move to an account manager. But can anyone please either guide me through the whole process of getting started, or provide a link to where such directions have already been given?

The problem is, I have successfully registered, found my already-existing account with Einstein@home and created a new one with Rosetta@home, and detached my BOINC manager from the project with Einstein@home. Then I went to Tools->Attach to project or account manager->selected "Account manager"->BAM!->entered my username and password, and got a message "User not found or password wrong"!

So what have I done wrong?

Also, I am really misty about the options under "My BAM Menu". Can anyone tell me which ones are necessary for me to get involved with and which ones I can leave alone?

Thanks in advance,
LifeUnlimited

Did you try to click the BAM! logo in the top right corner of this page? It links to http://boincstats.com/bam/, where you can find step-by-step instructions.

Hallo, Gundolf, danke!

I admit that I had not seen that link before. However, those instructions are very basic. Here's the specific problem:

Does your password contain exotic characters (e.g. not on the standard ASCII table)?

Hi [BOINCstats] Willy,
Thanks! I have changed the password and it all started working, at least for right now!

Cheers,
