I tried signing up and used the invitation code but BAM is reporting account creation is disabled. I don't see anything on the website that account creation is disabled though...

According to the project config invite codes are required.

I noted I did use the invite code. I tried it twice. Second time I made sure it was just text to make sure there wasn't any special chars hiding in there and no spaces at front/back.

I just went to their website and signed up with the there then came back to BAM and looked up the account to sync it in. So the invite code isn't getting passed properly or recognized when passed over.

The invite code is send over correctly (according to the log). However, not only does the project require an invite code, account creation is also disabled. So doesn't really matter if you have an invite code, accounts can't be created anyway.

I don't know the logistics so gonna ask:

Is account creation through BAM something that is a separate protocol from going the and signing up yourself? I always thought of its on there that's all that was needed for BAM to create an account (invite codes aside). Obviously, I got credits so it's on over there...

If you already have an account you should not create an account from BAM! but use find and account.

I think you missed having your coffee, Willy... Let's rehash.

1. I tried to create an account on QuChem via BAM WITH the invitation code.
2. BAM came back account creation disabled
3. Tried it again making sure the code was straight ASCII (no cloaked characters/formatting)
4. BAM came back account creation disabled
5. Went to QuChem's website and registered account there just fine.
6. Came back here, initiate link-up (not sign-up), that went without a hitch.


I haven't had any issues signing up any other projects with BAM, although none recently with an invite code.

So either the invite code isn't delivering properly (you say logs say it transmitted correctly on this end though) or something with the sign-up via BAM isn't working right. At the time there was nothing at QuChem website about sign-ups being disabled nor since then.

Ok, I misunderstood. And yes, the log registers the data send to a project and it did include the invitation code.

Thee? Don't think it's working...I'm going to have to say at this point, we are going to have to hook you up with an IV. We'll just keep increasing the dose till you stay awake or just die from coffee poisoning. There's a small chance you might at least temporarily turning into the Flash. You'd be more like the older Flash but hey Barry was taking pointers from him...

After you finish with all those updates to the website (10 minutes or so?), you can go on to create BOINC/BAM distro and update the base Linux kernels and libraries (what, 12 hours?). Then you can run down to the pet store, get a pet mouse and try and take over the world...
