The ClimatePrediction website makes my FireFox crash (buffer overflow). Does anyone have the same problem?

No problem anymore, there was sth like a corrupt link, which caused my FireFox to do infinite URL requests

Whenever I try to do anything with orbit@home it tells me: "platform 'windows_intelx86' not found"

That';s because they don't have a client yet. So the client for that platform is not found.

orbit wil have that message until orbit has an application, should be in a month or two.
