Do either of those VPN clients need port forwarding and other stuff? And, can you VPN to the machine running BoincView, and still controll all clients?

@miketoth1001: With OVPN you have the choice of P2P or Client Server. With CS the server needs port forwarding. Yes BV can run with OVPN. VPN'd clients are just names and BV finds them.

@miketoth1001: You can run BV on any of the machines VPN'd together. If you set OVPN to allow them all to see each other BV thinks it's just a local network.

Hamachi is very each to setup. Works 100% with BoincView.

@miketoth1001: "client" a bit misleading; "instance" might be better. Once networked it doesn't matter who does what. But yes, every machine you want to 'see' needs an OVPN (with its own crypt key) running.
