@mauro,bloodtiger: try reading Willy's news column for project news. You would've seen the advance warning from SETI about their scheduled downtime.

I wonder, but am I the only one who has the impression that SETI (servers), as it was Classic a long time ago

, had run very stabler before it went BOINC? Tell me if I'm wrong

I don't think there were less uesrs. . . as I remember there were always circle about 450 000 active users. .

As Classic closed, they had about 5 million users I remember (don't know how many active), but now it's total only 480. 000 (165k active)! This is not even 10% of the original. . .

@DoctroNow As I last visited SETI classic site there were 5,5mln participants. . . and now, we must emember that even classic's servers are working on BOINC. . .

@dotor I rember seti@ home crashing quite often through 2002 and 2003 then they finally had a stable version. the # of users has also played a big role in crashing the system

@Robert: Check all the projects you crunch for. They are all International by default - changing one doesnt change the others.
