@All: The geek sites are reporting that Haswell is 10% stronger than Ivy Bridge at the same price, but new Mobo.

I always try 2 skip 3 gens of HW. If everybd runs for the latest chip they can calculate height of waste mountain very fast.

Intel thinks everyone wants to use their iGPU. 20-30% of Haswell TDP is for GT2/etc. 77W->84W and more efficient CPU?

Would love to have enthusiast 1150 Haswell SKU with six cores and HT and no iGPU. BAM! 95W TDP. Canabalize LGA 2011, though.

I see perfectly how Intel's GPU fits in an ultrabook or tablet, however. 22nm > 28nm. Intel just needs on die L4 cache.

How can you compare the M one with the desktop one. One a stallion the other a donkey. Even the GPU is the M one.

Basically it leaves your discrete card for BOINC only. Works well, but it is still only a 'm' as others have mentioned...

@Einkrauba* Intel Haswell desktop parts feature HD 4600 (GT2) with 20 "cores". Good they did not waste die with GT3.

GT3 (HD 5200?) will be seen in mobile SKUs to start. It includes 128mb of eDRAM on die and 40 EUs (cores).
