@Freddy. Many reasons. Example "split Computer IDs or CPIDS". Each project gathers stats per computer not per "user".

@Freddy: (among other things) when you quit updating a project it can make a new record, and move "its" credits from the OLD

simple fix (4thatsituation) is update to every project on computer regardless of "accepting new work" or not. dont change OS.
