Well I do not have that prob with the TV, because it is on a on/off power circuit that gets turned off every night so the stand by power is off too. . .

I had the same thing about two years ago. The power bill was extremely high. Since then all PC's (except the server) are off when we're not using them.

What about the monitor? Are you leaving on the monitor? Have windows shut it off for power saving. Along with printers. . etc. .

Set the Monitor to Screen Saver : Blank @ ~5 Minutes, and Power Saving to turn monitors off @ 10 minutes.

The refrigerator can do it also, the 2nd heaviest use of energy in the house other than tv. It's good that you can shut yours down like that.

Well all of the monitors are turned off when not in use, I mean the power is switched off. . . I have tried to take all of the measures to conserve energy throughout the house, flourecent bulbs, monitors off, all stand by equip off etc. But the PSUs

of the PCs have run up the bill, even my fridge goes into power saving mode by 9:00 PM since it is not opened up that much after that time it is programed to reduce energy usage. . . I have no AC in the house so. . .
