I think BOINC Alpha can be retired.

From the front page:

"This is not a computing project. Don't attach the BOINC client to this URL. "

This project is intended to test BOINC features, which include BOINCstats and BAM!.

True, but you can't attach BOINC to the alpha project, you could in the past but now thw alpha project appears to just be where you can report problems with new versions of BOINC.

I think it is safe to say that this should be retired. Since you can't connect your client to their URL "This is not a computing project. Don't attach the BOINC client to this URL." and it doesn't give any work/points, it really shouldn't be kept on the active list.

The last points were credited April 2010.
