I have joined up for a new project called DepSpid. I have asked then if its alright for you to add them to your list and they said yes.

look here for the conversation:
http://www.bjoernhenke.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=391

the xml files can be found here:
http://depspid.bjoernhenke.de/stats/

Main URL:
http://depspid.bjoernhenke.de/

it is currently in alpha with only 40 or so users. It will also only run on windows XP and not server 2003 or vista for the moment.

He also has questions on how to set up BAM! support.

Interesting project.

I've always wondered when someone would make a distributed crawler project for BOINC. Well, whenever more testers are needed I have a greater part of a 6 mbit connection ready

Yes, but unfortunately it was not implemented correctly. Besides that the location of the AMS scripts are not on the same domain as the projects website which is a problem for BAM!.
Please do not PM, IM or email me for support (they will go unread/ignored). Use the forum for support.

There were a few problems during the web code update but now all files should be up-to-date.
And all necessary files should be correctly redirected from the main domain to the other.

I see it is not added to the "sign-up for projects" page. Thx! but I get a "project down" replay even when their site is online and i can even uplead results to them. Cpuld it be do to a changed IP? or is it soemthing on their servers that itsnt configured correctly?

I can read on DepSpi homepage: Project server Offline

Unfortunately, there is not real server status that describe condition of Data-driven web pages, Make_work, feeder, file_deleter, validator, Assimilator, Transitioner, db_purge and similar.

You can, but I think only within an hour of the original posting (except forum moderators who can always edit their posts).

DS server is back online (although the site wasn't responding a few minutes ago. Guess a little server hiccup from too many uploads. ).
New WUs are to be expected within the next 24 hours.
Greetings from Cori

I attached my Pentium II and it used 1 hour of CPU time on phase 2! That box seems slower each time I try something new on it...

You wouldn't like it. You have to quit/restart BOINC every day, because their ISP changes their IP address daily. So you lose all work since the last check-point.

FWIW, the changes to libCurl in the latest alpha core client seem to have solved this problem for me.

I was monitoring their IP address for the last few days and have had no problems contacting the sever even with the changes in IP address.

Fair enough. But it has not solved it for everyone (including me).

@miketoth1001: Be aware of the situation. You are looking to avoid losing crunching time due to project switching. This will cause the same problem if 5.8.3 will not work for you.

I can say with pretty large conviction that it won't solve it for everyone - only those who can connect by just re-starting BOINC. There are those of us who need to reboot to be able to connect each time the IP has changed, and for us it won't help.
