I am not sure where to post this problem but I need help. I am unable to run Spinhenge and QMC screensavers on this computer (#2). I can run the SETI and Einstien screensavers. On my older machine (#1) I can run all the screensavers. Both machines have the same video cards, 4gigs ram, 1650x1080 resolution, 22"ws monitors, WIN XP, and BOINC 6.2.19 software. The setting for all the projects is the same as is the local preferences in BOINC. In other words both machines are identically setup other than the speed. #1 is an AMD athlon 2.0ghz and #2 is an intel duo core 2.2ghz. I have post my qurestions in both Spinhenge and QMC but have not received any response. I am hoping this forum has a larger core of users that might be able to help. What am I missing to get the screensavers for spinhenge and QMC to run on this (#2) computer? TIA Sorceress

Sorceress I don't know anything about QMC or Spinhenge, but if they don't provide the new (separate) graphics application, and only one of your computers has BOINC installed in compatibility mode, that would explain the difference.

PS: nice picture in your profile, why don't you use it (a smaller version) as avatar? Apropos profile: dark green on black is difficult to read (at least for me :-) and the project is called "Einstein".

I do not know about a BOINC compatability mode . Please explain. I can run Einstein and SETI screensavers. Boinc was installed on both computers in the same way. I would assume that if can run these I should also be able to run the rest. Sorceress

I meant Compatibility mode as opposed to Protected Application Execution mode (for compatibility with older graphics solutions). See Service install = Protected Application Execution mode at the BOINC Message boards for further explanation. Perhaps this FAQ can also help you, mainly the last paragraph therein.
