The Prediction of Climate Change

Join the climateprediction.net experiment!

Info about the project: http://climateprediction.net/

1) Download the software from here:http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download. php

2) Project URL: http://climateprediction.net

3) Setup an account and you're done.

The application will then download projects for you computer to crunch. You can set how much of your computers processing power is dedicated to the project under options. However when running an intensive application that requires allot of memory and processing power it is best to shut down the app or set it to snooze, because it does slow your system down a bit.

I ran this project for a few days & turned in a Ton of Trickles but have yet to see any Credit for them, soooooooo I've suspended the Project for now, I don't think I'm really cut out for their Whenever Credit Process. Whats the Point in having Trickle Credit if you get the Wu done before you get any Credit for the Trickles ...

They have obviously some problems in the last few days, so you started at a bad time.
As you can see I've not earned any credits as well in the last days, although I crunched further. I can assure you that I never lost any credits because of such server outages, all is well stored and handled, and after a short while you (and I and thousand others ) will receive a big chunk of them credits. It will whack your best 5 days, but so does Lattice with it's Garli.

I'll continue where I left off on the Wu's once the SIMAP Marathon is over, I needed to stop the CPDN Wu's anyway to divert more to SIMAP so it was no big deal ...

for the past couple of days I've had two batches of catch up credits; this isn't too unusual, the project handles huge volumes of data and this does tend to happen a few times per year. Mo, one the moderators, is always helpful and tries to post news of outages on both cpdn forums within a day and half.
