The URL for VTU no longer exists!

Looks like there is a new URL.

Old: http://boinc.vtu.lt/vtuathome/
New: http://boinc.vgtu.lt/

Well, your new URL redirects to the same page as the old URL. So that won't work.

The project page loads correctly for me. The new URL has a frame pointing to http://boinc.vgtu.lt/vtuathome/, the old URL has no g on the domain name.

They work like this for me.

The old url: http://boinc.vtu.lt/vtuathome/

redirects to: http://www.vgtu.lt/

Which seems to be vgtu's home page.

The new url: http://boinc.vgtu.lt/

goes to the new VTU BOINC project site. Works fine for me.

Edit: Ah yes. I see the frame now. The direct address for the new url above is:

http://boinc.vgtu.lt/vtuathome/

Changed it.

Still unable to attach, get message:

The URL change is also causing problems with some people where BOINC manager cannot connect to the core client (red circle over BOINC icon). A ticket has been logged on Trac.

FYI, on the messages tab, it says:

You used the wrong URL for this project
The correct URL is http://boinc.vtu.lt/vtuathome
When convenient, detach this project, then reattach to http://boinc.vtu.lt/vtuathome

And that URL is the old address (but does seem to be working again). It doesn't seem to be causing any real problems. It's just annoying. I sent email to the admin asking for clarification on the correct URL.

Although vtu@home is not not an active project for me (they keep over 60 WU's pending -- 1K+ credits), I keep one system attached, to keep the stats right.
'They' changed their URL a while back, just like that, my system deteached by itself, never attached again.

Two days ago it attached by magic, but now I got a "message from the server":

Their 'right' URL is the one we have used for a long time, the wrong one is on the BOINCstats site, the one 'they' changed to magically a while back.

When I detach and attach I still get the wrong one [http://boinc.vgtu.lt/vtuathome/, just an extra 'g'], I am using BAM!
Also that 'wrong' URL is the one you go to when you click "VTU@Home" in the "Status schedulers" menu.

Not a real serious bug, but maybe you can correct it,

Connected and crunching ok using url:

http://boinc.vtu.lt/vtuathome

Which means they changed the URL, then changed it back to the original. Quit uhm, original.

That's the one that BAM! uses. Why does it still give an error then? (btw: I don't run VTU).

I just looked at my logs, and the error message is gone now. And this is with all of my xml files showing the URL with the "g". It appears the admin finally cleaned everything up.

I´ve some probs with VTU, too.

I reinstalled BOINC and just added my BAM account;
everythings fine but VTU.. see log above


may anybody can help me?..

This problem is well known since more than 3 weeks and no support or reaction from the admin in the VTU-board. Today still same happend after I connect to the project again.

This is for me the worst project at all if there is no feedback from the admin there.
