NumberFields@home disappeared off my list of projects a few weeks ago. I finally decided to follow-up on that and went over to their site to discover that my account no longer exists. I also cannot create a new account, so I have no way of contacting them about it. I checked the stats of the project here and noticed that there were negative total credits on 6/1. So, something happened to their database on that day. Can someone contact their project admin?

Thanks,
Jim

I posted to their forum for you. When I tried to search for your account Scortch I got nothing and your team has no members.

Hi Jim,

Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. As explained in the link that Jeff provided, I believe this might be related to the delete_spammers script that I ran. I am still looking into that. I assume your account had hosts and you also had some credit. If that's not the case, let me know.

Can you also let me know how you tried to create an account? I just created a new account via the BOINC manager and had no problems.

Thanks,
Eric

Funny thing is that the team -without members- score still exists: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/122/team/detail/1473
At FreeDC they even still have Scortch's personal score -which equals the team score- and badge: http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=user&proj=num&name=1815

Scortch -

I never did figure out what hapenned. I've asked on the BOINC mailing lists, and nobody responded.

If you can get a new account setup, I can reinstate your credits.

And if anyone else reading this has had the same problem, I can do the same for you.

I was unable to create an account using the link on the NumberFields web site, but I see you've probably turned that off to prevent spammers. I couldn't create it through BoincStats because apparently BoincStats thinks I already have an account even though it is not reporting any credit for me. I didn't think about creating the account directly from BOINC. I have done that now - same account name - same email address.

My credit was 101,399.80 and I was the founder of the team Alpha Phi Omega. If you could restore both of those, I would appreciate it.

The reason that I had no hosts is that I tend to delete old hosts from my account that no longer have tasks in the database since I am allowed to do that. The delete spammers script should probably take that into account.

Thanks,
Jim

I think that explains what happened with the delete_spammers script. There was a warning to use it with caution, maybe this is why. Anyways, I will manually add the credits back when I get home tonight.

Hi Scortch -
You should be all fixed up now. Check it out and let me know if I missed anything. I didn't associate the credit with your current host, but I can if you like.

Looks like I'm all set.

I'm just waiting for the stats to appear in BoincStats now. I wonder since this is a new account, even though the email address and name are the same, is there something I need to do to have it appear under my stats?
