Hi !

...

You'll have to stop BOINC completely (Advanced/Shut down connected client; File/exit) and back up your BOINC folder (including all subfolders). After (re)installing the OS, restore BOINC from the backup. After that, install (same or newer version of) BOINC to the just restored folder. That should even prevent loss of any still unfinished tasks. However, to be on the save side, (if you have the time) you should select No new tasks in the projects tab and let BOINC "run dry".

Thanks for your reply, Gundolf...

all data lost... about the boinc's folder. It doesn't matter.
I just want to use the ID of this PC as i can read in "host list" on boincstat.com.
Last, on a other machine, BAM take it for new one... Wrong, it's the same machine !

Is it possible to solve it ? how ? Am i clear enought ?

(sorry, don't speak english since a lot of years...)

once again, thanks.

Yes, you can solve the problem, but you have to "merge computers" in your account at every project to which the according computer is attached. (Might be a little bothersome with your list of projects :-)

No problem, I think my French wouldn't be comprehensible at all. :-)
