Hello, I just made a BAM account and I want to join my previous projects into it. I have all the accounts using the same name, email, and password (alpha-numeric so I don't think it should be conflicting) and I've tried changing my passwords several times.

When I go to the "Sign-up for projects" page and select the "Find account" radio button on the projects I am currently running (LHC@Home, SHA-1 Collision Search Graz, and Spinhenge@home) then click "Start" at the bottom, I get "Account not found", "Account not found", and "Wrong password" (respectively).

I'm using Google Chrome, but I don't think that should matter. I'm at a loss for what to try. Also, I can see my stats (http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_user_graph.php?pr=bo&id=1888960) even though I can't link the projects?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your stats would show up, even if you didn't have a BAM account--they are not implicitly linked.

The stats for user "stimulus" only show two projects, Spinhenge and SHA-1, have you ever used another name or email?

I can't really speak for your problems related to finding accounts, other than to make absolute certain that your project accounts have exactly the same account information as your BAM account. Others may be able to help more than I.

Thanks for your response. I'm still learning how BOINC, BAM, and boincstats operate. I have used another email before (I think I've always had the same name), but I have since switched it to what I am using in BAM.

As for there only being two projects in stats, I'm guessing that the reason that LHC doesn't show up is because I've never actually done any calculations for it. There hasn't been anything sent to me. I believe the LHC isn't operating right now, so they don't really have any data to crunch through.

Any other insights are more than welcome.

Also, I don't know if it is supposed to be like this before you've attached projects, but under "Project list" I have the headers (My projects, Short description, Attach new host by default? Resource share, Stats, Show hosts, Remove project) repeated 64 times going down the page.

LHC is "up", but it doesn't have work very often... It's Windows/Linux, not sure what platform you're running. It still should find an account, though.

As for the other problems: the errors really mean what they say: no account is probably a wrong email address and wrong password, well....

Whenever I use create/find a new account myself and the project is up and running and accepting new members it works fine for me, so I really think you should check the accounts at those projects.

Try creating a fresh account (using BAM!) at (for example) Primegrid.

I tried attaching to primegrid and did successfully. But when I went to the website to login, I couldn't log in. Then I realized that maybe if some sites don't like special characters in passwords, then maybe they don't like them in email addresses as well. I was using gmail and had "+boinc" added to the end of my gmail name (a very nice feature of gmail by the way). After I removed that, everything works smashingly! Thanks for the help everyone.

So, a word to the wise, don't use special characters such as + in your email address.

In related news, the sign up for projects page is currently blank. The area where projects usually fill the page is blank, the rest, the left column menu, header and footer are all fine.
