I remember, we did enlarge our HDDs. If a 20MB HDD was mounted with MFM, we changed it to a RLL-controller and got 32MB..

@KAMasud: 5.25" up to 1.2 MB DD and the latest model FD 3.5" 1.44MB DD. SD was half that capacity.

I did punch cards in HS, math teacher had a remote card reader connected to the mainframe at Seattle U. Hi Tech!

Began IT-A training in 2001. We supplied personal data on "old media". I had a CP/M with 8" FD, another had a punch card.

GW-basic came with MS-DOS. My favorite was the TRS-80. Still have an original sealed MS-DOS 3.3 and 5.0, with GW !

@Stacie: Remember the terminals well. Initially had 5 connected to "Server"; an XT with 2 X FDD as Master Dbase.

@LotwWH There was no TRS-80 with MS-DOS. That would be any of the later Tandy models. Same company, different model series
