@ Laird of the wee White Hoose, looks like they just don't have any more work to do. I got a task from them yesterday.

@Jimmothy: Primegrid gives lots of WU's. I'm doing some adjustments to even out the workload, between different CPU/GPUs.

@Stacie. Einstein, no work. GPUGrid to Linux. Climate to Linux. Linux Mint's new version does not recognise Boinc.

Starting up my VM's with Linux Zorin now. If it ever downloads. It never rains but it pours.

@KAMasud: If/when Win10 is no longer supported, my older PCs, if still operational, will be switched to Linux.

Solved it. I have had no Tasks from Climate for more than a year. Resource share had gone out of the roof. Removed it.

Looked at the Add-ons and got cold feet. They are ancient. @Stacie, who is ancient, they or we?

@KAMasud 1/2 GPUgrid report: My old cards rip through ATMbeta WU's but lag badly on Python WU's.

Einstein has work, I know. ATMBeta, misreport completion time. Check via TaskManager. Everything on GPUGrid is in Python.

Python, programming language. AToM, FSS science app. The World has left us behind. I miss '98 and Seti.

@KAMasud: Are there even any more 32-bit PCs still around? -It's several years ago, I scrapped the last of mine.

@KAMasud: Aye, It was the PC-XT class at 8 bit. The fisrt PC-AT 16 bit came with a 80286 CPU and eksternal MPU (option) 80287

@KAMasud: I think the first 80286 ran at 12 MHz. The standard 8-bit PC-XT 8088 4.77 MHz and 8086 had a turbo-switch 6-8 MHz.

@KAMasud: Before the PC-class we used 8080 CP/M, latest models had Motorola 68000 and Z80 CPU's.

@KAMasud: XXX=YYY 8086 was the first 16-bit, but still a PC-XT-class. The first PC-AT-class was the 80286. Sorry.

All the subsequent PC-AT-class still have to make do with the PC-XT-class instruction set. I had Texas Instrument make, one.

No need to be sorry. It is all nostalgia and on top of it all, I am in South Asia. We got IBM PC first.

Our chronology of events is a bit out of whack. Not US of 'A'. Anyway, all fun. Especially the 486 Server.

@LotwWH The first IBM AT ran its 80286 at 6MHz, then 8MHz. And yes, there are still plenty of 32bit (at least OS) around...

@TPCBF: We were not introduced to them. We worked the 8086 XT-class with turbo 6-8 MHz and switched directly to 80286/12MHz.
